Bible Reading Plans

Here are some FREE resources to help get you started with a Bible reading plan this year! And don’t worry if you start late, many of the “Bible-in-a-year” plans can be started at any time. There are many options available, but here are a few:

ESV Bible App

Crossway’s ESV Bible app (and website) has reading plans of various types and lengths, including their popular “Bible-in-a-year” plan, Every Day in the Word. You’ll need a free ESV.org account to use these plans. With these plans you can choose to read the text yourself or have it read to you.

  • This year, Pastor Paul is using a Bible podcast from Crossway: “Chronological Bible Plan with Robert Smith”. You can find it on Apple Podcasts and Spotify

YouVersion Bible App

The YouVersion Bible app has many great reading plans, also with the ability to read the text yourself or listen to it read aloud. One advantage of the YouVersion app is that you can choose from dozens of translations. There is also a social component built in for if you have friends also using the app.

  • App tip: If you get behind on your reading plan and don’t want to have to scroll back each time to where you left off, you can click “Catch Me Up” in the plan’s menu and it will shift the dates forward to the current date.
