Missions
It could easily be said that Missions is the DNA of Loudonville Community Church. The property on which the campus resides was the gift of Mrs. Hughson, a missionary to China. Through the years LCC's Missions ministry has expanded to include over 60 full-time missionaries working in the US and around the world.
Our Vision is to advance the Kingdom of God among people and cultures around the world.
Our Focus is to assist ministry partners currently serving, bring the Gospel to individuals living in the 10/40 window, partner in ministry to unreached people groups, and recognize that the world also lives at our doorstep.
Our Method is to participate in Scripture translation and placement, support church planting efforts that are built upon National leadership, and offer short term opportunities for church membership to explore Missions as a vocation.
Our Missionaries represent ministry partners added through the years in areas of teaching, church planting, scripture translation and medical service. These partnerships were established through relationships with various agencies and now increasingly from our own congregation. Since 2007 all of the new partnerships have come from LCC. In 2009 five more families will take their place in ministry.
In 1988 LCC adopted the Buryat residents of Siberia as an unreached people group. Today there are four growing churches there, staffed and led by trained nationals. Our relationship continues by providing assistance for the Pastors currently attending Bible training. Short-term teams have visited the area four times, providing teaching assistance, worship leadership and community outreach projects.
LCC provides Sunday School classes and worship translation in Cantonese and Mandarin. The International Friendship Team is very active supporting refugees the US government moves into the area from overseas.
The Summer Missions Initiatives program provides grants for LCC students to live and work in places around the world while they explore Missions as a life vocation.
